Q. What additional procedures is the operation taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

A. Skydive Indianapolis, as always, will continue to schedule jumper groups, by appointment, to further efforts to continue social distancing between customer groups in our large hangar and observer areas.

Skydive Indianapolis instructors and customers are required to wear face covering equipment. Skydive Indianapolis PPE will be available for purchase onsite. Goggles will also be available for purchase should you choose to take away a souvenir of your experience with us.

Our staff will be thoroughly and rigorously cleaning all common surface areas and bathrooms, along with the continual sanitation of goggles.

Skydive Indianapolis will place social distancing markings in the office and around the observation portion of our hangar as a reminder to our guests to continue social distancing.

Q. Is there a guarantee I can skydive without being exposed to COVID-19?

A. Although Skydive Indianapolis will take every known precaution to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure, we are unable to make that guarantee. We will continue to monitor and immediately implement any/all of the recommended action steps recommended by public health officials.

Q. Can I bring my pet?

A. While we love pets at Skydive Indianapolis, please leave yours at home. Although registered service animals are allowed, we find the noise and bustling activity levels are overwhelming for even the most seasoned and level headed animal.

Q. Can I wear a GoPro?

A. If you are a tandem student, no, you cannot. This is a USPA regulation and it has to do with your safety and that of your instructors and those on the ground. If you are an experienced skydiver with a C-license, at least 200 jumps, and the appropriate helmet mount, you can wear a GoPro.

Q. How old do I need to be?

A. You must be at least 18 the day of the jump.

Q. Is there a weight restriction?

A. Yes, 235 pounds is the max for a tandem. It’s a safety issue.

Q. Is there a height restriction?

A. No

Q. How long will it take?

A. You should anticipate spending 2-4 hours with us for a tandem, and all day with us for your first AFF class (ground school and one jump).

Q. How fast will I free fall?

A. Exiting the aircraft from 13,500 feet, free fall averages 120 mph (176 feet per second) and takes about 60 seconds.

Q. How experienced are your instructors?

A. All of our instructors are USPA-certified and have completed more than a thousand jumps. You’re in good hands!

Q. What should I wear?

A. Dress comfortably. Tennis shoes, shorts or leggings and a t-shirt in the summer, sweats, cargo pants or jeans and a sweater in the winter.

PLEASE NOTE - Boots of any kind & open-toed shoes/sandals are not permitted for your safety!

Q. Do I need a reservation?

A. It’s the best way to ensure you can jump at the time you want. We highly recommend it.

Q. Should I tip my instructor and/or videographer?

A. Yes, to both. If you enjoyed your skydive, a tip is a great way to show your appreciation!

Q. Can I get a video for my group?

A. You need to purchase one video for each skydiver. It is physically impossible for a videographer to shoot multiple tandems in free fall at the same time.

Q. Do you offer discounts?

A. Yes. We offer discounts for active military, veterans, students, individuals 65 years and older, First Responders (Police, EMT, Fire) and groups of 5 people or more. Seasonal specials are posted on our home page, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and in our e-mails. You can always give us a call directly at 765-605-6071 or 800-990-5509.

Q. Do you offer tandems for those with special needs?

A. Yes! We’ve been honored to take individuals who are blind, paraplegic and quadriplegic. If you would like to arrange such a jump, please contact us directly at 765-605-6071 or 1 800-990-5509.
